I don't readily buy inexpensive items, knowing that in general "you get what you pay for". But here we find a rare case where expensive does not mean better: this low priced HDMI cable works as well as any other HDMI cable, including those that sell for 20 to 30 times the price.

I bought two of these, and both work flawlessly. One connected the HD-PVR Cable Box to my Pioneer Elite TV, and the other connected the Blu-ray player. As expected, there was significant picture improvement compared to Composite cables, and the picture quality remains solid. The only way I would expect these cables to ever work less than perfectly might be after squeezing myself behind the units and physically mangling them in a rage of anger -- and presently I have no plans to do this.

A salesman at Best Buy once showed me cross sections of various HDMI cables, with the view of demonstrating the quality of build inherent to Monster HDMI cables compared to brands similar to these Amazon HDMI cables. And it is true: Monster cables ARE better built (sheesh, they had better be for that extra $120). But contrary to the salesman's appeal, the heavier gauge wiring, the better shielding, and the heftier packaging do not buy improved picture quality. Digital transmission of data in this context is not affected by qualities a "better built" cable would attempt to improve upon. The only benefit might be an ability to withstand violent mangling suffered during a major temper tantrum. But as alluded to: no plans here.

Amazon shipped these promptly, and they arrived unadorned and loose (but safe) in a generic box. I did not need to scout out my handy-dandy plastic packaging removal tool in order put this product to use. This was pleasant, and certainly much better for the environment -- we should lobby all retailers and vendors to lean this way.

So, I highly recommend this product, especially when you can have them at up to 97% off the price of some competitor's offerings.

When I picked up my high def converter box from the cable company, they wanted thirty six dollars for a six foot hdmi cable. Give me a break! This cable is even better because it's three feet longer for a fraction of the price. No difference in picture or sound quality.

I have previously bought a AmazonBasics HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable (9.8 Feet / 3.0 Meters) so when I needed a new HDMI cable I went with this. It didn't work. I tried it with two different TV's and two different HDMI sources, so I got a refund and sent it back (A+ for Amazon on that). I ordered another and it was the same story with it. I'm disappointed, maybe both of these came from the same batch or something. Not going to buy another one.

You can't beat the price of these cables. The quality is good also. Don't be fooled by expensive HDMI cables. They don't give you anything these cables don't give you already.

Good design, good length, excellent quality, great price. If you need a cable that can take a beating though, get the braided cable, it will resist wear and tare better, for longer.
